Symposia, Lectures, and Speaker Series

The Humanities Research Center awards competitive $3000 to $30,000 grants to host symposia, lectures, or speaker series.  These grants are intended to spark programming and curricular development in areas that do not fit within departmental structures, help develop innovative paradigms for conducting humanities research, or ask new questions within existing paradigms.

Faculty in the humanities, or faculty engaged in humanistic research broadly construed, are eligible to apply. Collaborations across departments are encouraged and if more than one person is applying, please designate a single faculty member as the primary applicant for administrative purposes. Preference will be given to proposals that are likely to lead to further collaborations and/or outside funding opportunities.
