Call for Nominations
Faculty Council, Humanities Research Center
Deadline: Monday, October 23, 2023, 5:00 PM
The Humanities Research Center seeks nominations and self-nominations for its Faculty Council.
The Faculty Council is a steering committee that is leading a process of transformation and renewal for the HRC. It is represented by five faculty members across departments, centers, programs, and ranks as well as the School of Humanities dean and associate deans. The Faculty Council generally meets once a month.
Terms are two years, beginning in January 2024. Tenure-track and tenured faculty in the School of Humanities are eligible, though we especially welcome nominations of faculty at the Assistant or Associate level, of faculty whose research extends beyond the U.S and the English-language arenas, and/or faculty who work fluently across disciplinary bounds.
All nominations should include a brief statement (300-word limit) that summarizes the candidate’s interest in and capacity to participate in the Faculty Council and to develop the center’s vision, programming, and governance.
Two eligible faculty members will be selected to join the Faculty Council.
*The deadline for applications has passed. Nominees will be notified of the Council's decision by December 15, 2023.*
