Colson Whitehead is a New York-based novelist who has established himself as one of the most versatile and innovative writers in contemporary literature. He is the author of six novels, including his debut work, the 1999 novel The Intuitionist, and the the #1 New York Times bestseller and National Book Award-winning novel The Underground Railroad.
