Reinventing Hispanism in the Age of Globalization

This symposium, held February 26, 2005, was the first conference organized by the Global Hispanism Workshop (of the Center for the Study of Cultures), a group founded almost two years ago as an interdisciplinary forum for scholars at Rice and neighboring institutions to explore the complex historical reality of the Hispanic and Luso- Brazilian cultures in Europe and the Americas.
