Performance.

Adaptation of a play by Marguerite Duras.

A writer famous for working in several media, Marguerite Duras is best known for her novels and films. Persistently rewriting the material of her novels into films and back into novels, Duras also wrote plays based on the same events. The Eden Cinema, published in 1977, reworks material from Duras' earlier novel, The Sea Wall (Un barrage contre le Pacifique), 1950.
