Conference: CareerCon: Career Paths for Humanities Students

Saturday, February 15, 2014

To help students recognize the array of career opportunities available to humanities majors, the HRC organizes panel discussions with professionals in a broad range of fields including film, journalism, law, publishing, library science, education, art administration and small business management. The format of the event is planned for maximum benefits to the students. Panelists present a short history of their career paths, the ways humanities degrees contribute to their professions, and the day-to-day aspects of their work. Students have the opportunity to personally connect with the speakers during an informal reception following the presentations. Based on the feedback from students and the panelists themselves, these events help students shape their current academic goals and begin planning their future career paths.
