The revolutionary potential for the democratization of knowledge production online is not a given. It is a practice, at once pedagogical and scholarly, that requires thoughtfulness and responsibility from professional and lay humanists alike. Drawing on his experience inside and outside the academy, at both venture capital-funded and non-profit education software companies, Dr. Dean will explore how such a practice might be theorized.
